JORDAN SUZUKI TAKES BEST SUPERBIKE RESULT

July 16, 2012

LEXINGTON, OH (July 16, 2012) – Michael Jordan Motorsports Suzuki celebrated its best weekend of racing at the AMA Pro National Guard Superbike Championship seventh round at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in Lexington, Ohio at the weekend as National Guard Jordan Suzuki's Roger Hayden raced his GSX-R1000 to second and third places and MJM team-mate Ben Bostrom brought home a solid seventh-placed finish on Saturday.

For Hayden, the results marked his personal bests for the season. On Saturday, Hayden got a good start on his Jordan Suzuki and, despite a red flag, raced to an impressive third-placed finish. On Sunday, Hayden again came out swinging right from the get-go and battled successfully for the second spot on the podium.

Said Hayden: "We had a good weekend at Mid-Ohio. The first race went pretty good. I worked my way up to third and engaged in a good battle throughout the whole race. In the second race, I was able to go good right out of the gate and about halfway through the race, I moved into second. I had really good speed and ran with the leader the whole race. All in all, it was a good weekend for us and it was great to be back on the podium for both races. I can't thank my National Guard Jordan Suzuki team enough. Hopefully we can keep the ball rolling at Laguna Seca, which is a track that I like."

MJM's Bostrom started the weekend on a high point by getting a decent start in Saturday's 21-lap race, turning consistent laps and bringing home a solid seventh. On Sunday, he got a fair start and worked his way up into fourth by the middle of the race, but finished 15th.

"It was a rough weekend for the number 23 Jordan bike," said Bostrom. "But it was a great weekend for the National Guard Jordan 54. It was great to see Roger up on the podium and I hope to join him up there at Laguna Seca. I have to thank the Jordan Motorsports boys, who are doing an awesome job as always."

In the 2012 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike Championship points standings, Hayden has moved up to fourth place while Bostrom sits in ninth. The Michael Jordan Motorsports team's next event of the 2012 AMA Pro National Guard Superbike Championship is at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in Monterey, California on July 27-29th.
